September 2, 2021 – Peapod Digital Labs is honored to be included as one of “Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®.” The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® competition identifies and honors organizations that display a commitment to excellence in their human resource practices and employee enrichment, including categories such as employee benefits, recognition, work-life balance and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Awards were given to companies based on employee feedback about creating a workplace culture that ensures employee wellbeing and engagement.

Nominated companies are assessed using employee survey data to evaluate a number of key categories. Each company’s entry is also evaluated by an independent research firm, with winners selected based on their overall high score.  

One aspect that employees provided positive feedback on was related to the company’s completely refreshed onboarding process. The new process is designed entirely around virtual experiences instead of in-person experiences.  

“My onboarding experience was pretty great overall. I have worked remotely previously, but even in that instance had been onboarded in-person, so I had my concerns coming in. However, I could not have felt more welcomed!” says Chase Wiggs, a new hire who was onboarded remotely this spring. “Starting with the welcome kit I received in the mail, through the 90-day check in—it always felt like the team was going out of their way to make sure I felt welcomed into the PDL family. It definitely has been a unique experience getting to know my team through a computer screen, yet PDL has made sure I felt like a valued member from day one.”
